Mawbray Banks Beach Clean

10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Mawbray means ‘maiden’s castle’ in Old English. The castle has disappeared, so we’ll be defending the maiden’s beach and rare maritime heath against a siege of modern rubbish of all sorts. A footbridge collapsed during Storm Eleanor in January, so wellies are recommended for crossing a stream on the beach.

Meet/park in the free car park, reached via a short track off the B5300 coast road opposite Mawbray village.
