Freckleton estuary clean up

10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Come and join a group of local volunteers, LOVEmyBEACH and Fylde Council Ranger Service to help clean up the River Ribble estuary at Freckleton.  We clean the banks of the river once a month, preventing the litter there from entering coastal waters and adding to the global problem of marine litter.

All clean ups run from 10 am – 12 pm, one Thursday a month. Meet at the end of Pool Lane at 10 am, by the “No through access” sign (just before the footpath on to the estuary). Parking is available.

All equipment is provided. The estuary can be very muddy throughout the year, so we recommend everyone to wear wellington boots or walking boots. Everyone is welcome, we just ask that any children under 18 are accompanied by an adult.

If you plan to bring a group larger than 5, please contact Emily.parr@keepbritaintidy.org in advance, to ensure enough equipment is available.

Please be aware that the clean may be called off at short notice in very bad weather conditions.
