Come and join a group of local volunteers to help clean up the River Ribble estuary at Freckleton once a month and prevent the litter there from becoming marine plastic one day.
Meet at the end of Pool Lane at 10 am, parking available on the road by the ‘No through access’ sign just before you reach the estuary footpath. All clean ups run from 10 am – 12 pm.
All equipment is provided and everyone is welcome, we just ask that any children under 18 are accompanied by an adult. The estuary can be very muddy, so we recommend everyone to wear wellington boots or walking boots.
Please be aware that the clean may be called off at short notice in very bad weather conditions and will not go ahead after a period of prolonged heavy rain.
If you are a group of 4 or more planning to join the clean, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org in advance to ensure there is enough equipment available.
